JPA Board Meeting

Dear Members,

After conferring with County Counsel and reviewing the applicable requirements under the Brown Act, it has been determined that conducting an election through an electronic ballot process would not comply with the legal requirements governing our proceedings.

To ensure transparency, public participation, and compliance with the Brown Act, any official election for representative positions must be conducted in person. Accordingly, all nominees and incumbents seeking election or reelection must be physically present during the meeting at which the election is held. This does not include the Superintendents as they are designated by the Superintendent Group to be representatives on the SMCSIG Board

In order to be a voting member, please make sure you have completed a Form 700 as a representative or alternate for your district and return to Sharon svishwa@smcsig.org or restares@smcsig.org .  If you have any questions regarding Form 700, please contact Sharon.
